Is there a way to set the trim to fit option when pasting as a hot key sequence? If there is, I can't find it.

Thanks!

Shift plus Delete = remove and leave gap. Ctrl plus Delete = remove and fill gap on an active track. Alt plus Delete = remove and fill gap on every track.

Since you are at the keyboard with Ctrl v with your paste, then two down arrow keys and return is the best I can think of.

Ok that's probably the best answer. Too bad there's no way to set this as its own quick key. The other answer given above is in regards to deleting, which yes I do all the time. This is about pasting, which I also do all the time. Trim to fit is especially useful when you are using audio masking clips to cover sounds like passing cars, train horns, body noises, etc. I find a moment of silence (which is never really silent as we all know) and paste it. I probably do it 20 times a video, at least. A good keyboard shortcut for this feature is sorely needed on my end!

There are many free apps that will allow you to record a sequence of keystrokes (aka macros), and play them back with a hot-key combination of your choosing.

To let Cyberlink know that you'd like to see this functionality added to a future edition of PD, use File, Rate Us & Provide Suggestions.

Yeah, I have considered that, I just was on vacation and hadn't had time to really put some of them to the test. I did provide feedback as you suggested, and I will check out some of the hotkey solutions out there.
