Hello,
I'm new with PowerDirector.
I would like to apply a color tranistion exactly as done in https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/tutorial/phd/17782113.
The video shows nice color tranistion. However the tutorial demonstrate color chanhe WITHOUT the nice transition that is shown in the final results.
I would like that a new color preset will transition in while the current will transition out. (see the attached screen shot that illustrate a screen shot in the missle of the color transition)
Any idea how can I achieve this effect ?

Sagi

Hi SagiKarni -

There are different ways to do this, but the simplest thing to do is:

  1. Put your original photo in the timeline twice

  2. Select the second photo & choose Fix/Enhance > PhotoDirector

  3. In PhotoDirector, go to Adjustment > Preset & apply your preferred preset

  4. Click "Back" to return to PDR

  5. Insert a transition such as Expanding Rectangles or Sliding Lines (under Geometric) between the photos

Thnaks Tony !!
2 additional questions thought :

1. I'm missing the sliding lines transition. How can I get it (did not see it in https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/TT/#TR_-1_downloadCount_30_ALL_WORLDWIDE_thumb_1

2. for some reason you transition is placed btween the 2 images. When I drag any reansition to the timeline and try to place it between the images it moves automatcally and placed only on the first photo. Any suggestion ?

Hi SagiKarni.
If you can do it by transitions, you have two ways:
1. You can use standard Transition -> General -> Wide. Give it in project track (between two images), then doubleclick to this transition in project track to open Transition Setting and set "Cross" and typ of "Duration".
2. You can download this transition (https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/126391321), then doubleclick to this transition in project track to open Transition Setting and set "Cross" and try to do changes of configuration in Transition Designer.

Thanks you Tony

How do I ease out this transition so that the wipe animation will not be linear (I do not see any option to do it in the modify transition) ?

Please take a look at the attcheded image. It shows part of the second color transition (demonstrated here https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/tutorial/phd/17782113). the one that wipes from the center to both up and down directions

  1. Is this a predefine transition also (didnt find it) ? where can i get it ?)

  2. you can see that in the wipe transition (to to and to button) there is a white border (view second attachment)

- How do I achive this white border ? Is it part of the image itself or part of the transition ?

Same question for the last color transition (https://www.loom.com/share/967a82aa08a141fa8fca8949ee7a9b89)
Is there some present transition that I can use to achive theexact result ?

Thanks
Sagi

Hi again Sagi -

  1. Exactly what version of PDR18 do you have?

  2. How many transition are in your library, not including custom & downloaded?

  3. Could you post a clear screenshot of your transitions library?

Next - here's a bunch of transitions made in PDR's Transition Designer. They're all variants of the same thing, based on the same image:
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872739
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872740
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872741
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872742
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872743
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872744
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872745

If you open the ones with lines in Transition Designer, you'll see they have the "Border" option checked. Uncheck it & the line disappears.

The ones with "Ease" in the name just have a central keyframe added to shift the progression speed of the transition.

About your "missing" transitions: I have no idea why they're not present in your PDR, nor can I find where they're actually installed so I can't offer any problem solving tips.

Cheers - Tony

Thank you !
One more question,
How do I search for a transition ?
There are many transition in https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/TR/
and I would like to find all "Wipe" transitions with "ease" .
I do not see any search / tagsover there ...
DO I need to go page by page ???

thx

Yes. Just follow these simple steps, and you'll be able to search by tag:

Please keep in mind that many items uploaded to the DZ website are made by individual creators who speak many different languages, and not all similar items will have similar tags. Some may have no tags at all, but the ones from Cyberlink are usually tagged consistently.

The following transitions are great and the ease function is hat i was looking for.

https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872744
https://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/176872745

I did search for a transition that animates from left to right and right to left with ease effect but couldnt find one. (the ones that you sent are coming from the middle to the edges or the other way around - i'm looking for a similar transition , but one that swipes from lrft to right with ease)

thanks in advanced
Sagi

Have a look on the Mask Designer - I think, there you can create all the stuff you need.
