I downloaded a short audio clip into the media library. When i played it there the sound could be heard. When I then moved the clip to the audio track line in timeline mode no sound could be heard. I notice in the preview window the sound icon has a strike line through it suggesting its on mute. I cant find where and how to unmute it?
Cheers

Since you can hear sound when played in the media library, but yet the speaker icon has a line though it, that means you are in "Non Real-time Preview". Select the icon to the left of the speaker and make sure you have "Real time Preview" selected.

Click on the icon in the preview window with the line throught it and you should see a volume slider where you can increase or decrease the volume, and it allows you to mute and unmute. Also, is the box next to the speaker icon checked for the audio track on your timeline? If it isn't, that would mute your audio.
