New file formats and a Sony camera

I'm a little confused here.

With the release of PD18, I was excited to see the support of new formats and even more excited when the camera I have (Sony PXW X70) was featured on the video.

However, I've just enabled the XAVC HD file format on my camera and it's produced an .MXF file which PD won't read.

I was of the understanding that my camera supported the new file formats mentioned here so does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

Hmm... Not massively but there's a bit of light that's been shone on my problem.

I think I may need to upgrade my camera but I'm not sure.
