Is there a good way to convert variable frame rate to fixed?.

Audio not an issue, problem is video stutter.

Not sure of what you are seeing. Maybe it is judder from a mismatched frame rate set in preference. Handbrake has been mentioned and recommended as the one of the best tool in the forum for converting variable frame rate videos to a constant frame rate. Here is a tutorial on using this tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH3yn4SDSQI&fbclid=IwAR05vPRuYnxbtiya19KdQ3jBuEINqHX4drwT6nA2jhHRU6HBnMZKYRMMtwI .

I would try SVRT in PD first, but not all clips (variable or fixed rate) will have that option available. The next best option is to use the Best Matched Profile from PD's Produce screen.

Either way, you can have PD do the conversion to fixed frame rate without needing another app.

But should you decide to convert your variable frame rate video to constant frame rate (much more universally editable), my tutorial might be helpful.

Thanks for the input guys, MUCH APPRECIATED.

It was Handbrake that fixed the problem, did that last night converting a 4K video from variable to fixed 29 fps rate. No more momentary hesitation of the video after using Any Video Converter when having a panning type scene.

My PD 14 did not accept the original variable frame rate video before but does now. Should have mentioned that.

Thanks again

Eugene
