Welcome to the PhD forum

I am not aware of any plans CL may or may not have for incorporating the use of LUTs in PhD. As a lowly moderator, I'm not privy to future product directions.

Currently, LUTs can be applied in Adobe Ps but not in Lr (without the use of profile conversion software). That's an indication to me that your question might eventually be answered in the affirmative, & that it may not be "relatively easy to add".

I can certainly see good uses for this, particularly working with video & photos in combination.
