Is there any way to play .mkv media files using PowerDVD 9?

Either directly, or by converting a .mkv into another supported format? I am very very interested in buying PowerDVD 9, particularily for the TrueTheater Motion feature. I use a 52" 1080p 60hz LCD as my monitor, and I love to play HD videos on it, though judder really irritates me.

I believe the .mkv files run under standard codec H.264.

No, PowerDVD 9 cannot support it.
Probably the next version will support it.

Well I hope that is soon.

What about playing the ISO? I just want to take advantage of the upscaling and motion interpolation features.

1. Install Haali Media Splitter and rename file to *.avi
2. The latest version (Build 2029) can upscale video files.
