Powerdvd 8 or 9 (ultra) - No audio when playing standard DVD

This has me scratching my head...

I have had PDVD8 Ultra and it has worked great...both BD and standard DVD playback. I then upgraged to PDVD9, and everything worked great.

Recently, I stopped getting audio from PDVD9 when playing standard DVD's...but BD works 100% no problem.

Went back to PDVD8 and now the same thing...but in PDVD8 standard DVD's either just freeze or stutter for a while then freeze.

I've installed/reinstalled dozens of times...
I've upgraded/downgraded/reinstalled video drivers a half dozen times...

Any ideas for me?...my system specs below

Asus P5K, Intel Q9400, ATI HD4830 --> HDMI --> Onkyo TX-SR606 --> Samsung LN-4695

Just to reiterate...I've never had any problems with this setup for quite some time...this no audio from standard DVD's thing just started about 2 weeks ago (and yes, BD's play 100% no problem).

Probably it's a bug with latest PowerDVD 9 2029 patch file.
Could you check your build number of PowerDVD 9?
Here is the FAQ to check the build number.
