Smart lasso remove control point ?

Hello

When I choose the smart lasso and go over the picture it always puts a control point at the wrong spot. It's confused as the colours really are similar in that particular spot. I want to guide it and remove the control point that is choosen.

How do I remove a control point ?
It is written you can do this with the left click mouse button but all this does is to add a new control point.

Please help

There may be another answer to this, but rather than deleting the unwanted point, finish your smart lasso selection and then click+drag the misplaced point to a better position. You can also click+drag in the middle of a line segment that doesn't have a control point, and the tool will automatically place one there and reshape the connecting segments.
