After working on a vacation project went to create a DVD selected menu and so fort plled up "Burn in 2D" but the burn disc was grayed out. It worked fine on my last project but not on this one.
Any help will be appreciated.

Click the "PowerDirector" in the upper right-hand corner and post the pic so we can see exactly what version you have. Any chance you maybe clicked the Blu-ray disc type and you have the "Deluxe" version which does not support BD burn?

The HDD was failing on my PC. I bought a Samsung SSD and ran the data migration software and copied the failing HDD to the SSD.
All files and apps were working fine exept Powerdirector 16. The HDD was so bad that after the migration it no longer worked at all. I knew a friend that had been working with Powerdirector and asked him to look at the copy on my SSD. He could not get it to run and so he uninstalled it from my SSD and installed his version. All was working fine, I was able to complete two DVD projects but not I can't burn my project to DVD because the burn disc is grayed out. His copy on his laptop works fine.
Here is the version # 16.0.127.0
Serial # VDE17025-01

Because of potential EULA conflicts with what's been written, I suggest you contact CL CS at https://www.cyberlink.com/support/contact-support.jsp and get your copy of PD working before I'll try to assist. You typically just need to provide proof of purchase which you should have to get new download links for reinstallation with your personal copy which you purchased.

What is your configuration?
Power Director 16 is greedy, you need a pretty powerful PC, a good graphics card and at least 6 GB of RAM.

I have suddenly dveloped this problem, the burn disc is grayed out and the "current drive" line is empty with no option to fill it in. I just burned 2 different projects easily. Now I can't. I uninstalled and reinstalled PD16. I added the patch update., restarted my computer. Tried burning the last 2 projects again that I had successfully burned this week. This is making me crazy. HELP!
