Distorted Audio

Hello, I'm a new user of PD17, updated to latest 2514 patch. I've searched and read through the forum with no luck.

I am trying to work with 4K/30 footage shot on an DJI Osmo Pocket. The material is a live band performance.

When the clip is played in VLC, Premiere Elements or Windows Media player, it plays fine. No problem with the audio.

But loading the clip into PD results in distorted, "swishy" sounding treble, like there's some sort of noise reduction going on.

This distortion happens on playback in PD, and also in exported clips (later played in VLC, etc).

I've tried to disable any audio processing but doesnt make a difference.

Any clues why this is happening?

Thanks for any help!

This sounds like DJI's audio codec isn't properly supported by PD. Can you find or quickly make a short sample clip and upload it to a cloud folder on OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. and paste the link here?

If you have Director Suite, try opening the clip in AudioDirector. If not, place the clip on the timeline in PD then right-click on it and choose Edit Audio, then Audio Editor and see if the problem is also present there.
