New PC Configuration
[Post New]
A custom PC builder recommended this setup for my new video editing PC. My requirements were basically to support 4K video editing of 2 to 4 minute real estate walk-through videos and also still picture editing, and try to stay under $2,000 USD. I use PD 17.

I'm not current on hardware and wonder if any of you care to look this over and tell me if I'm on the right track.

The only thing I plan to change on his recommendation is to upgrade the CPU to the AMD RYZEN 7 2700 8-Core 3.2 GHz.

AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor
32GB DDR4 RAM
500GB nVme Samsung SSD
2TB Seagate HDD
ASRock X370 ATX motherboard
ATX Case
650W Platinum-rated Power Supply
GTX 1060 6GB Video Card
DVD-Burner drive
Windows 10 Pro

Thanks!!

It looks to me that this configuration is more than adequate for the purpose you mention. Many home video editors would love to have this kind of a machine.

Many thanks, Warry. Yes, I've been using my current PC for almost 6 years and I feel very fortunate indeed to be upgrading to this system. I appreciate the confirmation that this system will meet my needs.

Happy New Year from Texas!
