Is there a way to Produce and Burn disks of projects that were created using PD 12 or 13 using PD16 software? I have uninstalled earlier verisons of PD and now work with PD16. I have projects stored in Cyberline cloud that were created with PD 12 and/or 13 that I now want to burn additional copies.

PD16 can read all of the earlier projects, so you shouldn't have any problems opening them up. If you've previously packed the projects, then all of the media will be in the same folder.

If you backed up just the projects (the .pds files) but not the media, PD16 will look in the original folders for the clips. If you've moved them, you'll get a pop-up window asking if you want to browse to the clip or ignore it (or all of them), and you'll simply need to navigate to the correct location. As long as the media names are unchanged, that's all you'll need to do.

One other thing to be aware of is that if you had downloaded some effects, transitions, etc. in the past, PD saves those items with a numeric name rather than the actual name of the item (like PDR10_16_9_Title_03). If you lost, changed or had to re-download any of those items, they may be in a different order and PD will probably apply the wrong style to the timeline content.

The simplest way to address that is probably to verify that everything looks correct in the timeline, and replace any of the changed styles with the with the kind you want. You may need to download them again from DirectorZone if they're not showing up in your library view.

Also, you didn't exactly ask this, but if you had saved the original produced outputs to a .iso image or to a folder, you can burn those directly from Windows without opening up PD. You could also use PD and import that content straight into the Create Disc module and burn from there.
