power 12 not playing nice

ok I have version 12 which came with the system and upto the other day it was playing dvds fine, but today when I goto play a dvd all I get is this feature is not supported and it's trying to get me to splash out over 40 quid for the lateest version, is there a way to get this version to still play dvd's or not?

Hello,

Sounds like a Windows update or something occurred. Did you try updating your PowerDVD 12 to the latest version? Check in the About window (press the hotkey I to open it) if an update is available for you.

If that doesn't work, contact CyberLink and see if they have an OEM update for you.

Hi there has been no windows updates, and power 12 iis fully upto date, I've opened a ticket but I can;t understand why it worked fine one day and stopped the next.

Something changed - do you have an antivirus active. An update there might have caused the issue. The same thing there if you use a system cleaner like a Registry cleaner ot file cleaner. If you have it activated and you have a Windows restore function and do not have any other way of getting it back, look to use Windows Restore (carefully). .

Hi that's just it and it's weird, nothing has changed, no updates no installs of ny kind nothing inbetween the last use when it worked and now, I'm using windows built in anti virus, never touch and cleaners!
