Editing Preview Not Reflective of Final Product

For example, I will single out one shot and zoom in on it. During the preview playback, it looks exactly how I want it to, the zoomed portion is contained in that single shot. When I produce the file however, and play it back, the zoom is a couple of frames off, so I get a split second of the beginning of the intended shot not zoomed, and the first frame of the next cut zoomed before it returns to normal.

I will be the first to admit that I am no veteran when it comes to this software, but could someone please give me some advice on how to correct this?

Hmmm that did not happen to me yet. Can you tell us what version of PD you use and maybe show a brief example?
Also good to understand HOW you apply this zoom, as there as several ways to accomplish it.
Thanks!

I'm using 16 Ultimate. I go to Power Tools and then Crop & Zoom to accomplish it.

Will try to upload a sample later if I can.

Did you zoom in on the timeline to set your start and end points?

You get greater accuracy if you zoom on the timeline. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
