Greetings,

Is it possible to search through my thousands of photos to pull up the ones including a certain person (thank you facial recognition and face tagging!) AND a tag (example: I want all the photos of my daughter {face tag} on Halloween {all Halloween photos are tagged "Halloween"}. I cannot figure out how to filter my photos with both of these criteria.

Similary, how can I pull up all the photos from a certain date or range of dates?

Hopeful thanks!

All what you need is a smart collection.
There are some smart collections still there:
All Photos
Recently edited
Latest import
etc.
You can add own collections.

  1. Name it.

  2. Set "All" for matching.

  3. Set "Tags" "is" {face tag} (of your daughter) -> Faces can be accessed like tags.

  4. Add new criterium

  5. Set "Tags" "is" "Halloween"

  6. Save

Click on the smart collection. Voila.
The criterium for your second question would be not "Tags", but "Capture Date". Play with it, you will see.

Thank you! And I'm guessing that as new Halloween photos of my daughter are added each year they would show up in the smart collection?

If you tag them the same: yes. Win 10 64, i7-4790k, 32GB Ram, 256 GB SSD, SATA 2TB, SATA 4TB, NVidia GTX1080 8GB, LG 34" 4K Wide, AOC 24" 1080

Thanks for the info. I was also looking for a similar thing. I've tried doing so but for some reason searching for Face Tags while setting the "Match" filed to "All" is not working.

I've done the following trials:

Trial 1:

  1. Set "All" for matching.

  2. Set "Tags" "is" {face tag}

  3. Add new criteria

  4. Set "Tags" "is" {some other non-face tag}

Result--> Noting is displayed.

Trial 2:
1. Set "All" for matching.
2. Set "Tags" "is" {face tag}

Result--> Noting is displayed.

Trial 3:

  1. Set "Any" for matching.

  2. Set "Tags" "is" {face tag}

Result--> Photos with the given Face Tag are displayed.

Trial 4:

  1. Set "All" for matching.

  2. Set "Tags" "is" {some other non-face tag}

Result--> Photos with the given Other Non-Face Tag are displayed.

Trial 5:

  1. Set "All" for matching.

  2. Set "Tags" "is" {face tag}

  3. Set "Capture Date" is {given tag}

Result --> Photos ith the given face tag nd given date are displayed.

I'm not sure why the Face Tag is not working in combination with other tags!

Thanks,
Regards,

Same experience on February 2020. Is there any new information on how to solve this problem?
