Is MP4 the only supported TV show format?

I have several TV shows on the hard drive, in the DVD file format and would like to import them into PowerDVD17 as TV shows, in season and episode format. However PDVD does not add them to the library with the VOB file format. Is there a solution to this, other than re-recording as MP4 format? In all the examples provided under the PDVD guide, the TV shows are in MP4 format.

Your dvd file format means the files you wanted to import is a dvd folder that contains VIDEO_TS subfolder and series of VOB videos inside?

It seems that the TV library does not support to import the movie disc folder, but non-disc video files only.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the TV shows were originally on DVD discs and are now VOB files on the hard drive. PowerDVD will show them in the Movies portion of the media library, but not the TV shows portion. Thus each episode appears as an individual movie instead of as episodes, which leads to a lot of clutter. So I have to run a VOB --> MP4 converter in order to have them show up as TV show episodes.

Of course I can just play each episode by opening the TV shows main folder under My Computer, but it would be nice if Cyberlink permitted more than just MP4 file formats for TV shows.
