Hello,

The latest build is no longer usable for me.
I finally got a video to load after many application hang attempts.
It takes FOREVER to transcode(produce) the video.
And the DVD Authoring never completes, the time increases to rediculous times, last attempt was 36+ hours for completion.

PLEASE fix this!

I have successfully used this the past for DVD authoring, as I use Davinci Resolve Studio for all other work.
I foolishly updated and installed the update to try the overpriced painterly effects gimics.
Wished I didn't.

I am on Windoze 7 w/ 32 mb RAM, Nvidia 1050+

There will be no fix for this, because you are the only one with such problems.

You should consider that something went wrong with your upgrade.
My suggestion returns to the previous version.
PD16 getting back to work right, if you want to download another v2816 update file and try again. XEON-E5-2680 v4 / Mem. 16GB DDR4
M.2 NVME 512Gb / 2-SSD Sata3 1TB
AMD RX570 / Display Philips 272V8
Windows 11_64Pro / PD22/365

I think this will be my path forward.
Uninstall, reinstall.

I just went through EVERY option field, disabled as many apps and serices possible, and giving the PDR.EXE app the highest priority, and it STILL took ~ 12hrs and 36mins to author a 4.58min video.

I don't have this problem with other intensive and demanding apps, both Davinci Resolve Studio V14.3, and the 64 bit latest version of ffmpeg work fine.

Thank you for awesome words of encoruagement.
You must be one of the designers.

Seriously, Cyberlink desperately needs to overhaul their transcode engine.
ffmpeg blows it away.

Check in the settings if HA is enabled, there are reports of problems with updating video drivers, if it is the case, uncheck HA (Enable Hardware Decoding).

In my case I preferred to go back to the old drivers, so I can use HA and speed up the rendering process. XEON-E5-2680 v4 / Mem. 16GB DDR4

You really should tell us what material you are trying to render. Is it 4K? Are we really talking about a five hour video? If it's 4K, and five hours long, I think 12 hours is reasonable.

Try posting a copy of your PCs DxDiag file so the members can see what you are up against Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

We all understand your frustration! Many of us have been there too. And we are all on this forum either because we have problems ourselves or because we want to help.

PD16 is not perfect, look at the forum discussions. I also use other applications for things PD does not do well. These other applications sometimes crash too. Video processing apparently is not so easy.

As The Shadowman writes, it would be good to understand what it is you want to do. Maybe you can share and the DXdiag file will also give a bit of insight.
