I tried the program but it only works on ts files not native h.264 files plus I received a weird message from my firewall program COMODO that the program wanted to access my keyboard which is strange. The message says that some programs do this for keyboard shortcuts but I am concerned about malware etc so I deleted the program. Hi Robert,

Thanks for the COMODO related feedback.

I checked the following link before installing the program and it indicates that it threat free. http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/cef80f83581f353d2061db9e7686467d296bdb2090e858d1730764250da5faa0-1246972911
I have not had problems with the program but I am far from a security expert.

When necessary, it is possible to remux the H264 TScutter.ts output to .m2ts, blue ray, avchd disk etc. using http://www.smlabs.net/tsmuxer_en.html

It wasn't the output I needed it was the input I needed. It would only input the finished .m2ts files from PD not my native MP4 videos from my camera.

Now if I could just get the ability of my camera to cut, split, and join the native files but in a software program in my computer it would really make editing a breeze, no re-encoding, just full clarity and definition. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

Most (or many) cameras come with some sort of simple program for that purpose, but in the case of my Panasonic cameras the software isn't really worth using (though I've kept it on the PC just in case).

yes, this program is better suited to avchd as opposed to mp4. I have used Handbrake to trans-code .mov clips to .mkv. and then they can be processed.

Exactly, this type of basic functionality should be in programs like PD. The SVRT function attempts this but falls short. It would be nice to have a quick and dirty function alongside the bells and whistles.

You see that is where the problem is, my camera outputs AVC/H.264 MPEG-4 but with so many different variations with most being called the same name, what chance have we or for that matter the produces of editing programs got to make things work. Robert,

It is possible to demux the H264 and audio tracks from mp4 streams using yamb. http://yamb.unite-video.com/ This will give an audio and video streams in a few seconds.

Then the streams can be combined to a ts stream using tsmuxer. http://www.smlabs.net/tsmuxer_en.html (It may be necessary to select all file types when opening some types of streams or alternatively drag the files onto the program.) The output file is then created containing the original h264 and audio data in a ts stream.

In this way it is also then possible to use h264 TS cutter for h264 mp4's.

Thanks William for the information but you see there is the other problem. I have been down the road of using multiple programs to do this then do that and it got tiresome. That was one reason why I liked PD as it had a built in stabilizer, which not only works better than De-shaker but is sooo much easier to use.

I think what I am going to have to do is make sure I keep my original videos safe and sound and when the software catches up or when they finally come up with a standard format I will re-render them all. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn
