BSOD Windows 10, CL PDVD18, watching an iso.
[Post New]
Hey y'all, just "upgraded" to power dvd 18 from 17 and imported my video library/settings, I was just watching an .iso (most of my favorite DVD's are on disk for easy access) and TWICE now it has Blue Screened my computer (100% stable used for multiple things including entertainment) with some kind of CL error.

Anyone else having this issue or somthing similar??

Any BSOD message can be shared? It may indicate the system crashed on which component if you expand the detail of crash.
Take a phone to capture the screen.

There is an error when it BSOD's while it’s saving the dump file but I did not write it down, I will try it again and get it this time. Nothing in the Event Viewer except the Critical notice that the computer rebooted from a bugcheck.

Unfortunately BlueScreenView is not working on this windows 10 install for some reason. My win 10 install has been up since last may 2017, so far I have had no major issues showing any kind of hardware problems at all.

TWO major things I just noticed:

1) I bought an upgrade, yet I notice that PDVD 17 Ultra is still installed? As well as the PDVD 18 Ultra upgrade. Usually any CL upgrades I purchase remove the older versions before installing the newest, but not this time.

2) I’m currently watching the same .iso on PDVD 17 ultra and it is clear that “Video Enhancements” is NOT working on the new PDVD 18 Ultra. However on version 17 (which is still installed) it’s working normally (and noticeably) and not crashing at all.

Any ideas on what may be wrong?

Thanks, and I will try and get that CL error and repot back.

No ideas?

Well I guess I’ll have to try to contact support.

I checked and I have the latest versions of PDVD 18 and Power2Go 11 so I don't know what else to do, it doesn't affect DVD's or other files, YouTube yada yada, BUT .iso's are important to me.

I'll try anything to get this to work I really like PDVD 18.

PS: Should PDVD 18 and 17 be installed at the same??

Per the log you posted, I only found that there were errors on the virtual CD-ROM driver.
I may contact support and ask them how to get the driver work or just reset it.

That makes sense because the movie did stay in my vurtual drive even after I had turned it off, as if it was still running.

How do I reset the driver?

Removing PDVD 17 solved the problem!!

It also reset the virtual_CDROM driver so I could install a new one.

Thanks man for pointing me in the right direction.

I wonder why the PDVD18 "upgrade" didn't remove the old PDVD17 version? Because this could be what caused the issue.
