Recovery of Overwritten pds file
[Post New]
While playing with the new menu interface in PD 8, I accidentally overwrote my timeline file (saved a greatly modified file under the same name). Does DP 8 save any hidden recovery files or is my timeline toast?
Thanks.

PD8 seems to save autosave .pds files in

documents and settings\user\application data\cyberlink\powerdirector\8.0\autosave [with user being your user name]

I think the file name is the name plus date and time of creation?

Maybe that helps?

Cheers
Adrian

You can change the location and timing of the autosave files

Directors chair>edit>preferences>editing>

Check autosave project box
browse to your chosen location
choose your time interval

Cheers

Thanks. Will Do. As with any video editing program, file management is an important aspects that often does not get the attention it needs at the begin of the editing process.
