same problem here
i purchased power director 8 deluxe, and when i try to download i get the same error (403)
i have opened a support ticket but no response yet
anyone home at cyberlink

I got the normal answer related to blocked downloads in Windows, but that was not the problem. I regularly download software from various companies and all is fine.

It seems that Digital River has not placed the download locations right. So we customers end up with the error message. I'm waiting for them to correct the mislinking.

Having the same problem here too.

Dont get why we have to contact digital river. We are not their clients. We have bought the commodity from cyberlink. It is cyberlink who are using digital river's service to distribute their software digitally and hence they are the clients and it is their responsibility to rectify any problems regarding digital river's file distribution process, not us. If you bought an item and it was lost in post you would resolve this issue with the supplier and not the postal company. The same applies for digital distribution. Seems like cyberlink are trying to ofload their problem onto digital river. Anyways I have sent a ticket to customer support about this issue as i expect you all have too. I'll give it a week and if it is not resolved by then, i guess i'll have to ask for a full refund.

a pint is minimizing the reward to this guy. Thinking of his involvement and patience in helping us out is amazing. I would go crazy.

One other thing. I tried to download the files provided by Dafydd in IE8.
Pure mess it (IE breaks off the download. Bug ? I guess so.

Now i managed to get the much wanted PD8 in Safari on a Win XP machine.
For now i'm still sweating to get the content file in.

You need to put the user and password in to the manager see the help files

I used DAP, but it only connected 1 time to the server. I hoped for more connections. That's why i ended up at Apple.
