Here is one for ya. . .I decide to try out this music maker feature. . .get my video clip on the board. . .then click on the music thing, see the highlited music listed there. . .click on that. . .it appeared to load a music file on the edit screen. ..go to play. .. gives me a notice window that I need to "insert smartsound library cd"? Well. . .its hard to insert a cd when you downloaded the program off the web? What is up with this? What type of gyration do I need to go through now to figure this out? Below is all that is listed in the help menu about adding music. . .pretty lame.
Using audio clips allows you to add background music or a narrative voice-over to your movie. CyberLink PowerDirector provides two tracks for audio media (the Music and Voice Tracks), which you can use interchangeably. (No friggin duh, I would have never thunk it)
To add video clips or photos to the workspace, you can:
Click to add the audio clip to the Voice Track or to add the audio clip to the Music Track.
Drag one or more audio clips to a desired position in the Voice or Music Track. Audio clips can be added at any point in this track.
Right-click on a clip and select Add to Voice Track or Add to Music Track as required.
Note: Audio files can only be added to the workspace in Timeline view. If you drag an audio file to the workspace in Storyboard view, the workspace automatically switches to Timeline view.
