I want to capture some Hi8 tape with Dazzle DVC170 capture card USB port. But PD7 can not recognize the capture card.
What is the solution?
Is it right that PD7 can not support analogue capture source?

David -

If you go here... http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/5795.page

you'll see that Dafydd says to use the search facility. It's good advice.

Hi David,

I have posted several questions over the past couple of years regarding capturing old video. I'm not as cool as Tony so I don't know how to provide you with the link like he did. . . but I can try to get you to one of my last capturing posts . . .

Go up to the top of this page and click "search" and type in my name - Cindy

Read all the information in the post lasted dated 5/21/09 (I think!). I got some really good advice after struggling with Pinnacle products for several years. This capture device "KWorld DVD Maker" has worked perfectly for me and I would highly recommend it over Pinnacle's product. Plus, it includes an older copy of Producer for you to play with.

Hope that helps!
Cindy

PS - Tony - could you tell me how you do those links???!!!

Cool and I (sadly) don't fit together too well Cindy.

David is far better off getting advice from someone with your experience in capturing from analog devices... so - good for you in taking the time to help.

To put in a link, all you do is:
1. Find the page you want
2. Select and copy what's in the address bar (ctrl+c)
3. Go back to your reply page
4. Paste it in (ctrl+v) - press return or space bar for the link to show up.

Not really very cool, is it?

Cheers -

Tony

Hey Tony,

Didn't realize it was that easy! I just didn't realize that the link was in the address bar - learned something new!

Thanks,
Cindy

PS - And I still think you are cool!

Cindy,

Don't encourage him, he's enough trouble as it is.

but only if you enjoy slightly juvenile boy's humour - to which Tony contributes in video and poetry.

Cheers

Those clips (and the original poetry) were very entertaining!
