power director wont run

when i purchesed my jvc camcorder it came with the disk that had power director 5 ne express and power cinema and power producer
when trying to open power director im being told of a runtime error and to contact support
i have uninstalled the disk and re installed it a couple of times now with no luck
your help with this matter is greatly appreciated as i cant download the footage from my camcorder without it

Have you installed the software as the administrator? Are you operating the PC (and later accessing PD) as the administrator? You should be.

I would also suggest you copy the contents of the disc to your hard drive and install/open the files from that location.

Please ensure you have space of 2 to 3 times the project on C drive.

Are you installing to C drive - it's the one PD operates from?
