Hi All,

I have been trying to understand if the following DVD menu could be created - all the templates / examples I have found seem to follow the same pattern. A top page, then chapter page with a max of 4 chapters per page...

We're doing a DVD for the daycare and would just like to go straight to a menu page with all the kids names (16) from there clicking on a name would take you to a video / photos song chapter per child, returning to the top menu when finished.

I thought PD or PP would be able to do it easily, however I can't find a single example of this type of simple menu or if it is even possible...

Appreciate any help.. Gareth

That's about right. Except you can have up to 6 chapters per page with multiple pages. The 7-12 chapters can be on a second chapter page and so on. The title page, or top page as you call it, can not be deleted.

PD7 does not have the preference to return to the chapters page after a given chapter is played, it will just continue on and play the next chapter. The best you can do is hit the menu option on your dvd player and get back to the title page and then the chapter page.

Keep in mind, PD7 is a video editor and provides some simple authoring capabiltiy. It would be nice if it was a full authoring tool but it's not.

Thanks Jeff

That's a real pity, I have been given some other suggestions, which I will check out - hopefully this might be considered moving forward....

cheers Gareth
