Hello,

I have a problem with this program. It dispays all the time the message 'unsupported mp4 file". Do you have any idea why it's that. The same goes for mov files. The program itself, after exporting, created file it doesnt see the file neither.

What version of Power Director do you have - to confirm that this post is in the right spot. Where did you get the program? Purchase directly from Cyberlink or other?

Have you tried to reinstall or repair?

Make sure you are disconnected from the Internet and have turned off your Antivirus. Install on your system drive unless you have a good reason to not install it there.

Please post your Windows dxdiag.exe file so we can see anything that doesn't look correct. I'll assume that your operating system is up to date and that you have not done any custom installs or appliied limits.

Do you get the message about mp4 and mov files with ALL mp4 and mov files? Where did you get the files? The program only supports mov files that are H264.

Hello,

I use Windows 8.1 64 bit system.

Version of this program is 16 upgraded. Program was purchased online at CyberLink, version 16, ordered on 11.03.18.

As for now I have all actual updates of this program. Mp4, MOV files are all from the cell phones I have. The present mobile I use is iPhone 7 .While importing mp4 files from Nokia 880 PV I get also message 'unsupported'. So the problem is with mp4 files, no matter what source ( I mean the kind of phone) of the files is.

I just checked dxdiag.exe file and it didn't find any errors. I know how the system works so I knew the problem isn't there. All my video files are H264, also in my iPhone files are set as H264.

Regards.

My ideas, because I have nerver heard of such problem with the PD 16 version:

  • check, if you really do not use the trial version.

  • check, if your version of PowerDirector is the only installed on your computer

  • download and install a "codec-pack". The best experiance was made with the "k-lite codec pack" (basic)

  • reinstall PowerDirector

And maybe give us a sample footage. Load it up (google drive, OneDrive, DropBox, whereever) and give us a link.

So far as the MOVs are concerned, make sure that you have Quicktime installed.

Also, when the program is open, click on PowerDirector in the top right hand corner and report, as the others have asked, what version and build is shown in the window that opens. Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,
