I have a large library of MKV files.. CyberLink Power DVD 14 worked PERFECTLY on ALL these MKV files..

agains my instincts I downloaded (purchased a bundle product including PowerDVD 17).. MKV files NO LONGER WORK

wtf people.. why did you do this.. why did I spend all this money and force me to find a new player for my MKV files?

Why can I NOT find any information about this issue.? All I read is people out here saying "Oh, I don't have a problem" but NO one is posting a solution..

This is not an acceptible business model.. to remove functionality from older programs without letting customers know SPECIFICALLY that some files are no longer supported.. This is a horrible buisness practice.

thanks in advance

Hello,

PowerDVD 17 works fine with all my MKV files, and I have a lot of them. Which codec are being used in these MKV files?

Also a good idea to ensure you have the latest PowerDVD 17 installed (https://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdvd-ultra/patches_en_US.html), and update your drivers.
