Updates To Add-ons
[Post New]
New PD 16 user here. A bit overwhelmed by the learning curve, but thankful for all the tutorials and am enjoying the journey.

I've got the New Blue and Adorage add-ons and was wondering if there are ever patches or upgrades to these. I see there are regular updates to PD 16 and the other Cyberlink products for bug fixes and tweaks, but don't see any way to check for updates to the add-ons. Or are these 3rd-party utilities considered stable and complete and no new versions are necessary?

Just curious. Thanks.

These are 3rd party plug-ins that you get "free" with the purchase. After that you are on your own.

There are dozens of plug ins that you can buy. Look here.

You can sometimes make your own if you want to take the time and depending what you want.

Thanks, Steve. That's pretty much what I figured. While these are indeed the "freebies," I thought if bugs were reported at some point that maybe patches or updates might be available somewhere.

Steve,

The programs that come bundled with PD are older versions that the software companies are unlikely to support very well. It's like Microsoft offering upgrades for Word 2.0.

If you are relatively new to PD, I have some tutorials here for the package and the add-on packages, including Titler Pro and Adorage.

Your tutorials are already some of my "go to" resources. Great job and much appreciated!

But, what -- no more upgrades for my copy of Word 2.0?! I knew I should have stuck with Multi-Mate or WordPerfect.
