Chris1958, I think you may have misunderstood. Your computer does use drivers for the USB device.
Windows is sometimes too clever. If you plug a USB device in to your computer for the first time then the operating system will 'recognise' the device and install what it (the O.S.) thinks are the appropriate drivers. Windows comes with a huge array of generic drivers which in most cases do a reasonable job. In some cases they fail to work at all. It's therefore essential that you install the software that comes with devices in exactly the way/order the manufacturer says you should.
Try -
1. Deleting the grabber using Windows Device Manager (you may have to have it connected before you can see it in there).
2. Disconnect it.
3. Reboot your computer.
4. Install the driver and any other software.
5. Connect the device. If there is software with it try it out and see if it is working.
6. Try it with PDR.
I struggled with the first USB grabber that I bought and never got it working. I bought a replacement, another make, and that works perfectly.
