Discs won't play in older dvd players
[Post New]
I have burned a number of discs and they work fine in newer dvd players. However there is an older TV with a DVD VHS built into it that will not play the discs. Is there a setting I can use to make the discs play in an older DVD player?

Try a lower burn speed.
Use different brand DVDs. Taiyo Yuden perhaps.
Clean the DVD player, laser cleaner and a puff of air may help. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

The old TV built-in DVD player might be one that only plays DVD + R
and you might be creating a DVD - R. The old DVD +R player would not be able to play DVD -R

That was the key! All the discs that work in that player are DVD-R and the new ones I'm burning are DVD+R.
Thank you for the suggestion!
