Hello I was wondering if there is some way to crop a video in PowerDirector 15?
I am doing a video right now where I have me in both frames I just do not know if there is a crop tool for PD15 or not?

The second video I have in the track needs to be cut in about half as it shows things not in the other frame.
So I have done everything I could think of but have not found a crop tool or anything that will work for the two in one frame thing.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,

Put the video on the timeline, select it, then click the Tools button above the timeline. Select "Power Tools" and then select the Crop & Zoom option.

When in the Crop/Zoom window, click the ? to view the help content for it, and watch a tutorial about it.

Alright thanks I got it.
It is not the best two videos in one with two charectors but it is my first try doing it so I just went with what I did.

Not sure if you want to see it when I have it uploaded to youtube or not it will be the Mascot for my business talking about pinball machines and a little bit on how to get into them and so on.

Hello,

Actually, re-reading what you want to do, cropping the video is not the answer. You should use a mask, but you have to shoot the video to accomodate it first. If you want two of yourselves on the screen at the same time, you should be in opposite sides of the frame in each video. I am sure you know this, but just checking.

To use a mask, pust the first video on track 1, the second video right above it in track 2. Click on the video in track 2, and then click the Designer button and select Mask Designer.

Scroll down in the available masks and then choose one of the two highlighted in the attached image. It depends on which side of frame you are in on the track 2 video.

Let me know if that works better.

Oh ok I will do that for next time.
I made the crop work but it is noticible where shades are off.
I'll do a test with the mask at later date as I may need it for Boss against Mascot for fun.

I do have the video up now.
I like how it has turned out even the end is fine.

Interesting video.

I remember Getaway quite well. I skipped a lot of classes in university to play it, Earthshaker, and T2 I must admit. Love pinball.

Cool I have played both I do not own either of them "yet" but plan on owning them some time in the future.
And I am hoping to make more pinball specific videos like tech tips and less of the un-boxing videos I have up on my youtube channel.

I have also started using Twitch to stream now and may change over to twitch with my youtube channel getting the monetization taken away due to not having 1,000 subs.
Which will be gone some time this month.
And I can PM you links of the social media I am on which would be Twitch, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.
All though my twitter is just something I post to when I stream it is handy as it auto posts to my facebook.

Just know that if you ever want to get a pinball machine they will get to be 2 then 3 and so on. xD
They are sure addicting.
