I was having a problem with my Blu-ray discs not loading (more accurately, my Blu-ray disc folders as I transfer them to HDDs), specifically Ash vs. Evil Dead Season 1 and 2 Blu-ray discs. It would make it past the initial Blu-ray loading pop-up, then maybe after the subsequent "Groovy" progress bar (this is specifically related to that disc alone) and it would either freeze at the FBI warning or before that. I was using the most current version available today.

I normally keep my Lenovo HTPC with Windows 8.1 disconnected from the internet, but it occurred to me that updating it might remedy the issue. I have NEVER updated it so there was, of course, a plethora of updates available, but I was looking for specific ones that could possibly cause this kind of issue. So I figured .NET Framework updates and those related to Adobe Flash Player would be my best bet... and sure enough, those updates are what fixed the Blu-ray disc from loading properly!

This is just a heads-up for people like me who use HTPCs or PCs disconnected from the internet or never allow it to search for updates.
