PD16 Not Supporting MOV files that PD14 does

Last year I did and edit with Power Director 14. Now I want to use the same .MOV files in Power Director 16 and I get an unsupported file error. Yes, they still do import into PD14.

Hi Videoguy01 -

Can you give some more detail please? MOV is just a container - it could be made with a variety of codecs. What is the source of your MOV files? Properties?

Here, lots of different MOV files import & play without issue - Canon DSLR clips, DJI Phantom, Alpha channel MOV clips...

Have you installed the most recent 2313 update patch for PDR16? It improves MOV compatibility, amongst other things.

Do you have Quicktime installed? or Quicktime Lite?
