PD15- I have an underwater video ( GOPRO Hero 5) of a ship survey I recently completed. Have everything set up and ready to burn a disc. Problem: The file is 11040MB and the disc is 4700mb. Any mulitple solutions?

Thanks in advance!

You can select a different Disk Format in Create Disk > 2D disk tab,

A bluray single layer disk is 25 GB. You would need a BD-R disk and a bluray burner. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

... or a large thumb drive or portable hard drive. There are video formats that highly compress the video without much visual loss (like DiVX).

Where do you want to "show" the survey? What equipment is available at the location where the video will be shown. How long is the video (time)?

What format is the video that you have? .

@ Carl312 & Stevek, Thank you for your quick responses.

Is there a way to burn it to 3 DVD disc? Does PD15 have that option?

The survey video will be given to DOD personnel that have access to a computer or a DVD player, not a Blue Ray. I would have to give them a Blue Ray player, which is not a practical option. The external HD may be an option, I'll have to check.

As far as know, DOD won't allow thumb drives on their computers.

The original video format: MP4. I changed it to MPEG during production.

I forgot to ask how long (time) was the video?

There are double layer DVD that can be used IF the video is just under 2 hours long. Is it possible tor trip the video. Naturaly you may want to skip the menu to save space. The video will start to play as soon as the player recognizes it.

Most modern computers and DVD players will play double layer DVDs

Yes, you can burn to 3 separate DVD but it is not automatic. .

Just an observation here - going down the route of burning standard DVD video discs will result in loss of resolution/quality. Since USB sticks are not allowed, you could split your project into 2 or 3 separate parts and produce them to standard MP4 files and then 'write' each of the files to a DVD data disc.

All,

Thanks for your input. I had to re-edit the project and made 3 DVD's.

Best Regards and Happy Holidays!
