PowerDVD 9 ultra: Installation won't finish

I bought the software online yesterday. I first tried to install it on my computer with XP but then it wouldn't activate (seems to be a frequent problem looking through the forums...)
As I always wanted to upgrade to Vista 64bit I thought, I could do that now and then retry the installation again. So that's where I am stuck now: A fresh install of windows Vista 64bit and the installation of PowerDVD 9 ultra will never complete. It stops near the end when trying to install "CLAudWizard.ax". What could it be? Oh, and it is the installer I downloaded from the link of my purchase mail.

1. Try to uninstall PowerDVD 9.
2. Verify all PowerDVD registry keys have been removed.

3. Install MSI 4.5.
4. Restart computer. Install PowerDVD 9 again.
