PDR16 and Virb360
[Post New]
Hi,

I'm trying to evaluate PDR16 in order to edit 360 videos but as soon as I try to open a .mp4 file created from my Virb360 a popup appears saying that my version of PowerDirector doesn't support this feature !!!

I know that the Garmin Virb360 is not in the supported list of cam but genererated files are equirectangular.

So, does any body succeded opening such files ? and if yes how did you do that ?

Thanks for your help

Eric

Hello,

You said PowerDirector gave you a message about the feature not being available, not that the file is unsupported. What version of PowerDirector do you have? Trial version?

Hi emonjoin -

The full retail version of PDR16 imports and plays back 360 clips from the Garmin VIRB 360. Its 360 photos are fine too.

The attached screenshot shows a UHD 360 clip during playback.

As David suggests, it may be a limitation of the trial version.

Cheers - Tony
