Does anybody have this problem with Magic Motion? I have still photos incorporated in my video. I used Magic Motion for pan and zoom on some of my still photos. When DVD is produced, the photos with Magic Motion is shaking during playback. Does anybody know why it does that? Anyhelp is greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

I think the same thing. There are a lot of bug fixes in the 2519 patch. I'd really LOVE to be able to use it but I can't because Motion objects (motion slideshows or manual motion effects) is one of the best features of PD7.

Come on - it actually has been two full months since the 2519 patch was released and motion was broken.

Cyberlink should be ashamed. I used dozens of applications and the only one I have issues with is PD7.

I downloaded today's latest patch for PD and tested magic motion. The stuttering and shaking problem is still there. Q9300 2.5 GHz

Sooooo . . . Dafydd, does this mean that I need to go back to the patch BEFORE 2519 in order to fix this shaky problem? I think the last version I have before that is 2429a.

Since I'm in the middle of producing a photo slideshow with 2519, if I uninstall and reinstall, will I still be able to open my current project in a previous version?

I agree, this is one of the best things about PD7 - any idea when they are going to fix this?

Hi Cindy -
My experience is that, when you roll back to the previous version, you won't be able to open projects made with 2519.

If you're in the middle of the project and you're using magic motion - it makes me shudder even typing those words - I'd uninstall, reinstall, NOT patch to 2519... then start your project again. That's just what I'd do.

Dafydd has mentioned in another topic - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/6141.page - that there is some scripting change that can be done to allow what you're asking. I'm not up to that but you might be.

Hopefully, you're not tooooooooo far into it. Tread gently and you'll hear the daisies grow...

Cindy, do you have the CD version of PD or did you download it?

One possibility is to install the CD onto another computer and make the slideshow with magic motion on that computer and transfer the produced video file onto the other computer. That's the approach I'm taking. My laptop has 2227c witch works with magic motion and my desktop has the latest patch which does not work properly. Q9300 2.5 GHz

Hi Tony -

UGH!!!! I'm shuddering!!! I just got a brand new computer so I could start doing more projects with PD7 and I happen to still have version 2429a on my old computer. I tried to open my project (which I did) in the old version, but everything is still shaking!!! I guess I thought the shaking was part of the burn process and not the creative process!!! I don't want to think about starting over again as I am almost through with this wedding slideshow.

I don't think I'm going to do the uninstall and reinstall thing for this project. Rather, I'm just going to take all the motion off the photos and use them plain. BORING!

AND, I'm going to be optimistic and think that Cyberlink is going to fix this REAL SOON!! When I got on this forum, I did notice there were several posts regarding this issue . . .

Thanks for that different version James.

I will try that one since 2429a doesn't work. I just hope I don't have to re-create the WHOLE thing, but that looks like a real distinct possibility if I want to keep the motion . . .

There are other slideshow templates you can try as well. At least you won't have static pictures. Apply one of the templates, do a save as and give your project a new name. When (if) magic motion gets fixed you and produce your project again and the way you originally wanted it.

Cindy, it all depends if you have a working version available to install on a second computer. If you go that rout you may have to redo it.

I sent you a private message.
