I wonder what the reason is not to have UHD ? License fees or does that format not allow it?

Very disappointing, no reason to buy V16, PD 14 has all I need.

No reply, but their other competitors that I asked claim not enough demand and that is unfortunately the case. For the whole last 12 month only two requested that feature for PD16. So I use PD14, I have absolutely no use for the additional stuff in PD15-16.

Weird since you can only buy a UHD TV if you want a screen larger than 42" and literally any still camera will meet or exceed 4K resolution to make UHD slide shows, not to mention iPhones etc.etc. for videos.

And why use a $10.00 USB drive if a $0.65 cent BR disc will do. Fortunately my UHD player will handle 4K HEVC files on BR, that is what I send to family and friends. I use youtube in (private mode) too but any 4K material takes a serious PQ quality hit, ok really only for cell phone watching.

Bummer

That is what I do mostly for my family videos now -- 4k files on data Bluray disc. Unfortunately, no nice menu to preface those vacation or holiday videos. I don't have a bunch of empty thumb drives lying around. I stopped buying those years ago and I don't like streaming. The quality can't come close to disc. Everyone kkeeps teling me that 2D is dead. YET Hollywood keeps pumping out 3D movies in the theater. Few months ago, found out that 3D TVs were no longer being manufactured. I wasn't ready to upgrade to 4K, but ran out and bought a 2016 LG OLED 3D TV with matching 4k 3D player.
