I am trying to create a menu structure for two videos. I want to burn them to a 4.7gb DVD.

I have successfully exported two videos:

-45min - 1.9gb

-45min - 1.6gb

total ----3.5gb

I then go to the Create Disc section, select the two videos and BLAM! the data required is 6.8gb????

Where did the extra 3.3GB come from? 3.3GB for a menu structure.

A menu structure, that includes one image, two video text links (no thumbnails)...3.3GB???

Why? ummm

1.5 hours of dvd video requires about 7 GB at the HQ setting so only 1 hour of video will fit the dvd. Send a screenshot of the properties of the original 45 min video files. I already know that they won’t be mpeg-2 8 Mbps.

You could use a Double Layer DVD to fit your 1.5 hour video on a DVD. Double Layer is 8.5 GB. You select DVD 8.5GB on the 2D Disc tab of Create Disk. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

The vid1.jpg screenshot show that the 46 min 20 sec. video bitrate is 15.384 Mbps which translate to a file size of 5.34 GB for a fixed bitrate not 1.9 GB unless it is a variable bit rate.

I tried to do the same thing some time ago, burn several of my SD movies to a 4.7 GB blanc. Gave up on that and now use Freemake Video Converter for that.
