4k timelapse with fisheye lens

Hello,

This is either a PowerDirector or PhotoDirector question, so I am putting this question in both forums.

I am looking to create a timelapse video from either JPEG/ARW files using a 12 mm fisheye lens. I plan to dump the 100s of pictures into PowerDirector and create a timelapse. As I will be using a fisheye lens, there will be distortion. I know that you can correct the fisheye effect in PhotoDirector, but I can already see that being time consuming if I shoot hundreds of photos. My question is can I create the timelapse video in PowerDirector and then correct the entire timelapse with just a one time fisheye lens adjustment / correction, using that capability in PowerDirector?

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob -

I'd say there's probably some advantage in using PowerDirector, mainly because you can use a lens correction profile then "Apply to All". My initial instinct was that PhotoDirector would be easy because you could copy/paste the lens correction to each photo or save it as a preset, but there's no batch processing.

The same lens correction profiles are available for PDR & PhD.

Cheers - Tony
