I am evaluating Powerdirector 15 to be used with Blackmagic Design Micro Cinema Camera...

I want to use 60 fps in 1080p (1920×1080).

How does that work with Powerdirector 15, and which format should I use? CinemaDNG?

Hi nets,

Please go first to the preferences and select 60 FPS under "Timeline frame rate".

You can then edit your videos. After that you go to "Produce" and select a file format (AVI, MPEG-2..) a little under you will find the "Profile name/Quality". There you can select a profile. You can even customize it by clicking on the "+" button, or you can create a new profile with your own preferences but be noted that there are some roles to respect if you want to playback your edits on a external player.

Hi nets -

If you shoot in CinemaDNG format, you'll have a set of RAW DNG files. Importing them straight into PDR would be a waste because they'll immediately be converted to JPG.

DaVinci Resolve will need to be part of the process. You could export the graded videos from Resolve in an appropriate format & do the final edit in PDR.

I downloaded some RAW clips from No Film School to determine that.

Cheers - Tony
