Dock / Undock and Hardware Acceleration problems

I have 2 monitors (one monitor and one projector) I want movie on projector and controls on monitor. How can I undock the controls from the bottom?

Every time I play movie my settings for Video goes back to Hardware acceleration, it does not save them, what can I do to fix it? I am using ATI Radeon HD 4850 video card. Vista 64 bit.

Can somebody help
