Win 10 GPU issue

I have ASRock mobo Intel Z87 chipset with i7 4770k and GTX1060. Just recently upgraded to Win10 Pro from 8.1 Pro. For some odd reason, PD 15 wants to use Intel iGPU instead of the GTX1060. Never had this issue with Win 8.1! As far as I know, there is no way to disable th iGPU in the BIOS. The mobo does not have Hybrid MS mode that I know (desktop - not a laptop).

Any ideas? Intel i7 4770k, 16GB, GTX1060 3GB, Two 240GB SSD, 4TB HD, Sony HDR-TD20V 3D camcorder, Sony SLT-A65VK for still images, Windows 10 Pro, 64bit

I would not think that upgrading to win 10 would cause such an issue. Check to see if your single pc monitor is connected to the MB or to the nvidia card physically.

If this is a dual monitor setup with both connections made then someone else need to advise like connect both monitors to the nvidia card.

Nothing has changed. HDTV is connected to GTX1060 via HDMI cable. Guess I should check my BIOS again. The only option it has is GPU 'preference' - integrated or PCIE slot. PD15 is the only app that won't use the GTX1060.

edit: really odd - in Particles , etc., I see teh nVidia logo on them. Yet in produce, PD will only use Quicksync. ??

Found a solution which could possibly work with laptop with MSHybrid technology. I had just upgraded to 4K HDTV which I use as a monitor and use Silicon Dust Prime tuner to watch TV through Win10. My screen started flashing black randomly. Spent hours googling and trying different suggestions.

I did realize that Win10 thought I had two monitors for some odd reason. I think Windows was trying to randomly redetect the second monitor. I just ran across a online article that suggested disabling the i7 HD4600 in device manager when this happens.

Yeah Guess what? PD15 will now produce using my GTRX1060 again. Don't understand why having two GPUs should be so annoying.
