Time stamping my video clips

Good morning,

I'm not very familiar with video editing software. My Case manager said I needed the software to merge all the clips I take at work into one fluent video for convenience on their end. I take a lot of surveillance video at my job. I currently have to manually stamp the time and date overlay before I hit record on my camcorder. I use a Canon vixia HF r82 HD. I was curious if director 15 had a way of embedding timestamp when I upload video clips before I merge them into one movie. Thank you for your time. Respectfully,

Hi Philip -

PDR has a Time Stamp in Effects.

If it's a continuous recording, no problem. Just set the time format to HH:MM:SS and set the start time (e.g. 09:00:00:00 - 9am)

If it's not continuous, you'd need to set the start time for each segment.

The centre one in this example video is what it looks like.

Cheers - Tony
