Hello everyone!

I am a beginer at video editing and I need some help!
I have made a slideshow of more than 1000 photos and some pictures. (I know its a lot , maybe?).

I have gone to produce and did the AVI and made the video.
The video is good quality but not the best.

Can anyone please help me what is the best rendering format ?

My photos are in jpg format and video in avi if that helps.

Produced AVI is 720x480/60i. You never stated what the original video and photo resolution were. If you have a 4k monitor or uhd TV then producing to mp4 at 4k or uhd resolution like 3840x2160/30p would be nice.

Resolution is 72 , 96, 350 dpi for most images.

(Different images)

I want the best resolution of the video.I dont mind any space it takes.

I want to produce the video one to keep in my laptop and one to burn on the CD.

Hi Krut -

The image in your screenshot is a portrait shot - 2988x5312. Assuming that many of your photos are in landscape mode - 5312x2988, tomasc's suggestion is good.

Don't use AVI. Use AVC H.264 MP4. The resolution you choose for production depends on what you're viewing the slideshow on. UHD monitor or TV - select 3840x2160. Full HD monitor or TV - select 1920x1080. One of the standard profiles will meet your needs.

Cheers - Tony

I want to do 2 things.

1) I want to have the best quality to see on 1366 x 758 laptop.(Resolution)
2) I want to burn it on a disc too.

So which is best?

I would produce to AVC H.264 MP4 1920x1080 @ 16Mbps. That way you can:

  1. play back on your laptop (even though you won't be seeing it at Full HD

  2. view it directly on Full HD TV (USB)

  3. burn to Blu-Ray

The attached screenshot shows the produce selection.

If you switch your project aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9, you'll get the options shown in my screenshot... or do you really want to produce to 4:3?
