Is anyone using Power Director 15 Muserk Music

I not played them yet, even not unzipped them yet. If I cannot use music as per my requirement then they are actually valueless and useless (though I not sure if those are royalty free or not). On the other hand for private use I already have many high quality music which also has high public demand. Therefore is anyone using those music for your project or enjoy listning those music?

On the other hand Power Director 15 is a superb product. I am a first time user and started loving it. Power Director and Director Zone is one of greatest combination.

Well, last week I was a bit pressed for time so I thought to use a tune from Muserk... turns out it's not free to use, they had their name spelled in words and letters stamped across the audio. I took it from the first page I landed after going to Muserk from PD.

I searched PD itself to see if some background music was incorporated but found none (is there?)

I think it would be good to include at least a basic free-to-use set of tunes in PD itself. There was another source I believe, maybe they do offer stuff free to use in PD, haven't tried that yet.

As it stands, I'm not going to pay for it. I'm a bedroom producer of music as well, so I'll just cobble my own tunes.

Too bad though. I plan a lot of videos that need only little pieces of backing music. Creating it myself adds to the workload. Not sure but I think Pinnacle has a selection built in?

Frankster:

You asked: "I searched PD itself to see if some background music was incorporated but found none (is there?)"

"Smart Sounds" is called by Magic Music There are many pieces that are free (dark blue) and others you can buy.

Also, one of our members has been posting free music that he makes (sorry that is the on;ly term I can thing of) and posts them frequently. Go here for the tunes. .

Powerdirector 15 removed SmartSound and Quicktime.

If may be possible to install the SmartSound engine from SmartSound.com.

You have to search for Royality Free music. That does not mean the music is free, you usually have to pay for the license.

BarryTheCrab has some links for music on his website. Find a post by BarryTheCrab, he has a link in his signature. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

As Carl said (corrected me): From Q&A

Why can’t I find the Magic Music (SmartSound) feature in PowerDirector 15?CyberLink

PowerDirector 15 no longer includes the third party plug-in SmartSound. If you installed SmartSound with a previous version of PowerDirector, you can continue to use it in your PowerDirector 15. Any SmartSound music you purchased will still be available to you in your projects.

There is also free music and other sounds here (link) .

Thanks for your answers, appreciated : Minor drawback, but a missed opportunity of PD I feel. This may lead people to use unauthorised music.

Luckily I create my own music, so I can create a few tunes to put under my movies as well. Makes me contemplate if it's feasible for me to produce some music clips for the PD community. I'm a bit busy with a lot of things, but I will give it some thought.

Thank you Frankster69 for your thought of contribution of your music. I am not a musician or I dont even know abcd of music creation but I can record sound from any copyright free source and therefore I can contribute. Thanks to Stevek and Carl 312 for help. I already bookmarked those links.

I have not used MUSERK.
On my site I have many links to video editing assets, music, sound FX and video clips. Some for free, some for fee.

My favorite is Smartsound, I am an early adopter of sorts. If you do not have the Smartsound/Magic Music plugin you can download it directly from SS. SS and PD
It will integrate seamlessly into most ANY version of PowerDirector. Although on it's surface it seems pricey they often have sales that are quite reasonable and you can get older albums off of EBAy for...a song.

Your site is really helpful.

You said "My favorite is Smartsound"

Can you please tell me whether I can use Smartsound for commercial purpose? It is because video production is not my profession but sometimes I like to create video and sometimes I create commercial videos.

e.g. Sometimes I create video for contesters who want to participate on TV programme etc.

My production return is very small quantity and therefore I am looking for free music, if my return increase (reasonable minimum) I will purchase songs or donate from my return happily.

Can the links to Muserk and AudioNetwork be removed from the media room. I am new to PD, have searched the web, and this forum without any success. I the links to be annoying and only wish to display the music that I've imported. Thank you for any help you can provide.
