I can't seem to find this function in the new, paid-for version. Strangely enough, it was easy to find in the trial version. Could someone knowledgeable help me out, please?

As applied to images/video clips - Transitions/All Content/Fade and then click on the transition to open it if you want to change from your default setting (cross or overlap).

Thanks but sorry, I don't find that in my german version, not in the settings either. I know the german term for transition, but the only thing I find is the 6th option on the left (or eff eight), called 'übergangsraum' = transition space/room? That doesn't look like it. To avoid missunderstandings, what I would like to achieve can be seen in the beginning and end of this video

(tweet)https://twitter.com/1donmitchel/status/871948266241495040 ,

which was made with the trial version, where it was easily found. If you know what I mean, know the answer and would like to help, could you give me a fool-proof solution algorithm please? I'm not good enough in this field to be able and follow mental leaps. .)

While in the Edit module, if you press F8, that will take you to the Transistion Room in all versions of Powerdirector.

If you do not have any transitions, you may not have installed the contents (maybe 2 EXEs in the download). Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I do see 'transitions' after pressing F8, but what I see there are only lots of floating letters and patterns - no simple fade in/out. Where has it gone?

In the trial version, it became visible after right-clicking the object in the timeline. My setup.exe file is called PowerDirector_2026_GM2_Ultimate_VDE160718-01.exe, and there wasn't a second one.

Are you saying that you only downloaded a single file? My PDR15 downloaded files folder contains 15 different files, some of which are:-

  • 1_CyberLink_PowerDirector15_Ultimate_Upgrade_VDE160919-04.exe

  • 2_CyberLink_PowerDirector_ContentPack_Essential_PCP160714-011.exe

  • 3_CyberLink_PowerDirector_ContentPack_PremiumII_PCP160627-011.exe

  • 3_CyberLink_PowerDirector_ContentPack_Premium_PCP160722-031.exe

  • adoragedspvol02-64bit.exe

  • CyberLink_ColorDirector5_Ultra_CDR170206-01.exe

  • CyberLink_CreativeDesignPack_Wedding_CDP140707-01.exe

  • CyberLink_HolidayPack7_CDP150924-01C.exe

  • CyberLink_Muserk_MusicMP3.zipvitascene-dsple-2.0.243.1-64bit.exe

Plus other files with patches and install keys.

You wouldn't necessarily have exactly the same, others will have more but you should at least have some of the contents packages.

Did you download your version from Cyberlink?

That's interesting, thank you. No, I purchased from a german online retailer who seems to be reputable.

I got the file mentioned, and the activation code.

Now I think it'll be best if I get in touch with them first? They should get to their office in about 16 hours from now.

I just visited my account there and found my order, see attachment. The serial number is visible but has been removed by me prior to publishing.

What I see there is that I do not find all the files that you mentioned, instead just one (a very light-weighted one) called CyberLink_PowerDirector_15_Ultimate_download_manager. So I assume what I got downloaded was determined by Cyberlink themselves?

It may well be that your re-seller provides a bespoke 'all-in-one' installer. I imagine that it is best resolved by them.

I was just saying that I hope that you now get the matter resolved (i.e. tomorrow morning).

p.s. I'm sure that you'll get it resolved one way or the other.

The Cyberlink Download Manager is the program to download all of the parts of PowerDirector. It will use the maximum bandwidth of your internet connection.

When you run Download Manager you get an opportunity to choose your folder where the download will be stored.

You will get a archive EXE that when run will install Powerdirector and all of its parts. The Download manager will ask to install the downloaded file when the download is complete.

In case someone is interested how it ended: Yes, my original version was apparently incomplete. The retailer organised a new version which is 5 times heavier, and it includes simple fading in and out (right-clicking on the object in the timeline). Thanks to all of you for helping me to get there!

Is this a forum where people get rewarded if a certain reply is marked as helpful? I'm not familiar with this system, but if you'd like me to reciprocate, just let me know how to, and I will certainly oblige. .)
