Problems Burning DVD

I just bought Power Director a few days ago. I assembled a 20 min or so video and successfully created an MPEG-2 file.
When I went through the Burn process, at the end of it I got a Burn Successful message. But when I insert the DVD into my DVD player I get a Bad Disc message.
I've tried burning a DVD with and without Creating a Menu and tried two different DVD players. Nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions?

Try creating a DVD folder on the HDD with PD then burning the DVD using ImgBurn (freeware) or generic burning software supplied with your burner eg Nero.
Sometimes this is more effective.

Are you sure you set NTSC or PAL correctly for your location? Some DVD players can play both types, but its worth looking into.

good luck. Q9300 2.5 GHz

PJC's suggestion worked so I've got what I wanted. Still not sure why it doesn't work the original way I tried it though.
