Transition Question

I'm having a little problem with transitions in my slideshow. Say I have 100 pictures in the slide show. The first 25 I select (using the click/shift/click) I use a fade transition. The next 25 I select (using the click/shift/click) I assign a random transition. What ends up happening is the entire slideshow turns into random transitions (even though the first 25 weren't selected). Then I have to individually go back and re-assign fades to the 1st 25.

Why does this happen and is there a way to assign random transitions only to selected pictures without the whole slideshow turning into random transitions? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Cindy

That is the default of PD. You need to create 2 sets of slide shows to achieve what you desire PC specs :
OS Windows 10.0 Pro
MB - AS rock Z77 extreme 11
Intel 3770K @ 4.0 Ghz OC
Gskill 32 GB RAM 1800 Mhz
6 TB HDD, SSD bootable
nVidia ASUS GTX 660 Ti
BenQ 22" LCD monitor 1920x1080

Alternatively - and maybe this is what Babdi is suggesting -
1. Select the first lot
2. Assign fade transitions
3. Produce
4. Select the next lot
5. Assign random transitions
6. Produce
7. Combine clips if desired. Tread gently and you'll hear the daisies grow...
